Spending too much time worrying about the fine details too early is a real time-waster. Many online entrepreneurs get trapped into a feeling that everything must be ‘just right’ before going live.
Obscessing about website appearance, product descriptions, SEO, image processing, keyword research, feedback… trying to perfect these (and other tasks) before launching your new site can easily sap weeks – or even months – from your selling opportunity. Don’t trade revenue for Premature Optimization.
Get that site live, get those products up and available for sale! The fine details will be fleshed out over time. Perfection is absolutely not required, and chasing it early only reduces the opportunity to generate sales.
Getting organic traffic to the site (you’ve been building up your ‘fan base‘, right?), listing your products making them available to sell: this is what you’re in business for. Get those first sales made. Everything else will fall into place in its own time.
